前回に引き続き研究会に関するご報告です。
This time the content is about another research meeting.
6月に和光の理化学研究所で行われた第36回タンデム研究会に参加してきました。
タンデム加速器に関する知識と経験をあれやこれや持ち寄る研究会です。
In June, "the 36th meeting for tandem accelerators and their associated technologies" was held at RIKEN in Wako city.
研究会の表示もされていました。

理研といえばニホニウム。駅からの道はニホニウム通りと名づけられ、入口にはニホニウムの碑がありました。
RIKEN is the birthplace of nihonium, an element with atomic number 113.
ニホニウム発見のまち 和光市
Wako city is full of nihonium everywhere.
研究会のあとには見学会もあり大いに盛り上がりました。
100人近い参加者がいたそうです。
After the meeting, we had a RIKEN tour.
We were shown the RANS-III, a portable compact neutron source system.
今回はMALTの現状報告がトップバッター

お昼ご飯に食堂を利用しました。
昔の学食みたいな値段ですが、支払いはユニクロみたいな自動計算してくれる機械を通して交通系ICカードで行うというハイテクな感じ。
Lunch at the RIKEN cafeteria was so inexpensive that I fulfilled my dream of eating both curry and ramen.
ほー、いいじゃないか。こういうのでいいんだよ。
Chinese noodle is a taste of nostalgia for many Japanese.
懇親会も理研の中にある広沢クラブという食堂で行われました。
タンデム研究会では神戸大学で行われた第32回以来、実に5年ぶりの懇親会だったみたいです。
A social gathering was held on the first day of the meeting.
5年ぶりということで気合が入ってました。
Sushi, sake and happiness.
懇親会後はみんなで和光の街へ繰り出して、夜遅くまで親睦を深めました。
After the party, we went out to the streets of Wako to deepen fellowship until late at night.
全日程終了後は、個人的に理研の中にある東大原子核科学研究センターを見学させてもらったり、松崎研OBの三宅さんに現在の仕事を紹介してもらったりしました。
After the entire program was over, we were also introduced to the workplaces and jobs by our friends at RIKEN.
そして連日、和光の街へ
And we went out to the streets of Wako again...
