さて、今年は東京大学のホームカミングデイがオンラインで開催されることになり、

その中で、東京大学総合研究博物館の案内人を務めることになりました。

The University of Tokyo will hold the 20th homecoming day tomorrow mainly online.

Prof. Matsuzaki will act as a guide of the University Museum in the event.

YouTubeでのオンデマンド配信を行うそうです。

10月16日9時から10月24日まで視聴可能とのこと。

We finished maintenance of the accelerator tank and have started 129I-AMS measurement, (accelerator mass spectrometry for iodine-129).

MALT一般公開のお知らせ

相次ぐ故障に難儀する日々ですが、久しぶりにいいことがあったので更新します。

なんと坂崎幸之助さんがパーソナリティを務めるラジオ番組、NACK5のK's TRANSMISSIONにてMALTが紹介されました！

2019年7月19日放送分です。ラジコ等で聞ける方は聞いてほしいです。
最後15分くらいのトークで登場します。


さて、坂崎さんをして「訳の分からない強烈な設備」と言わしめたMALTですが、
2019年8月7日(木)、8日(金)の東京大学総合研究博物館ハンズオンにて一般公開します。

通常のオープンキャンパスとは異なり、博物館のハンズオンは事前申し込み不要、参加費無料とのことですので、ぜひご参加ください。

クリスマスが近いので、雰囲気出してみました、主に頭部に。

　寒さも増してきて、何とか粘っていたイチョウの葉っぱも大分落ちてきました。

It's getting colder and colder, and the large part of leaves fell off the tree.

共同利用募集開始 Application for Collaboration Study Start

　フランスのAMS-13に北海道の総合技術研究会。

　ここのところMALTメンバーは研究会で大忙しです。

　しかし留守番要員にはこれといったイベントもなくブログの更新もままなりません。

 MALT members are very busy at AMS-13 in France and General Technology Study Meeting in Hokkaido.

 But there are no event for laboratory sitter and it is almost impossible even to upload this blog.

　さて、遅くなりましたが２０１４年度秋季共同利用の募集を開始いたしました。

オープン・ラボラトリの準備 Preparing Open Labo

あくせく働いている内にオープン・ラボラトリが明日に迫っていました！

The MALT open laboratory will be held tomorrow!

　午前中は工学部経由で申し込んできた高校生がいっぱい来てくれるということなので、一般の方の見学は午後からになります。ご了承ください。

 We will allow general public people to visit MALT from afternoon.

　制御室をオープンラボ用の展示室に大改造。
 We converted a control room into a exhibition room.

良い機会なので念入りに掃除もしました。

And cleaned the room carefully.

展示室の出来栄えには中小司くんもご満悦の様子。

He was greatly pleased with the wonderful change.

展示するポスターも鋭意製作中です。
They are creating a poster exhibited in the open laboratory.

お揃いのクラスTシャツで気合い入ってます。

タンクの修理完了しました Accelerator Tank Repairing Completed

　こんにちは、ミスターです。

 Hello, this is MALT.

　先日発覚したEL02-2の故障も何とか修理完了しました。

 We somehow completed repairing of EL02-2.

　MALTが誇る加速器のエキスパートです。

They are experts in accelerator of MALT.

　いよいよ本格的にマシンタイムが開始します。遅くなってしまい申し訳ないです。

 The machine time started in earnest.
 I am terribly sorry for the delay in beginning of the operation.

原子力国際専攻入試説明会 Orientation of Department of Nuclear Engineering and Management

　こんにちは、ミスターです。

 Hello, this is MALT.

　原子力国際専攻の入試説明会が行われたのでMALTをしっかりと紹介してきました。

 Orientation for new students of Nuclear Engineering and Management was held, and I introduced our laboratory MALT in detail.

準備万端で学部生を迎えうつミスターと三宅くん

We are all set to receive the students.

　一緒にスキーに行ったスナディも説明する側として参加していました。

　新しい仲間が増えると良いね！

 Sunada-kun, who went to ski together, also participated as a introducer.

 I hope that someone will join our group.


　次回の入試説明会は5月31日（土）の14時から、工学部3号館32号講義室で行われます。

　ご来場お待ちしています。


 Next orientation will be held from 14 o'clock on May 31 at 32nd room of Faculty of Engineering Bldg.3.

カラスに注意 Beware of Crows!

　こんにちは、ミスターです。

　Hello, this is MALT.


　自然豊かな東京大学には多数のカラスの巣があります。

　子育て中のカラスに近づいてしまい、後頭部を蹴られるという被害が発生しています。


 University of Tokyo is nature-rich, consequently has many crow's nests.
 Getting close crows caring for their babies may cause a hard kick for the back of your head.



　そこで、今年も東京大学カラスハザードマップが配布されました。

 Crow attack hazard map was distributed this year too.

　

MALTの付近も要注意地点です。

There is a danger zone near MALT.

　帽子をかぶったり、傘を差したりすることが身を守るためには有効らしいです。

　紫外線からも身を守れて一石二鳥？

　MALTにおいでの際はお気をつけ下さい。

 I hear that wearing a hat and putting up a parasol are effective for taking cover from crow's attack.

 By the way, they are also effective for protect your skin from ultraviolet rays. 

 I feel somehow lucky.
