初詣に行ってきました！ Happy New Year!!

明けましておめでとうございます！

2023年の初詣に松崎研究室の有志で鎌倉へ行ってきました。

Matsuzaki laboratory conducted Kamakura tour during the New Year holidays in 2023.

北鎌倉駅に10時集合な

Kita-Kamakura station

参加者は教職員・学生ほか、合わせて８名。

ぞろぞろと連れ立って、目的のお寺へ行きました。

There were 8 participants in this tour.

初詣は建長寺でした

天気も大変良かったので、建長寺の裏手から天園ハイキングコースというところへ行くこととなりました。

The weather was very fine, and we hiked around Kamakura.

AMSシンポジウムでは学生発表賞があり、松崎研究室の王くんが見事ポスター発表賞を受賞しました！

Mr. Wang from Matsuzaki lab. won the student poster presentation award of JAMS-23 symposium.

また、初日のセッション終了後に、山形大学医学部東日本重粒子センターの見学会も行われ、みんなで参加してきました。写真を載せておきます。

第23回AMSシンポジウムに行ってきました。 JAMS-23 symposium in Yamagata city

先週、第23回AMSシンポジウムが山形で開催されました。

JAMS-23 symposium was held last week in Yamagata city.

山形駅に看板が出ていました！

会場は山形駅近くのホテルキャッスル。

The venue was Hotel Castle near Yamagata station. 

学生スタッフだけでなく、ホテルスタッフも会を執り仕切ってくれていて、立派なシンポジウムになりました。

The gorgeous venue and the formally dressed staff made me nervous.

秋の加速器メンテナンスを行いました！ Autumn Accelerator Maintenance

 こんにちは！

Hello, this is MALT.

今回は令和4年度秋の加速器メンテナンスの報告です。

This month we did some maintenance of the inside of the accelerator.

通常行っている内部の清掃やペレットチェーンの点検のほかに、今回は大仕事もありました。

加速器内部ユニットを支える絶縁カラムポストのセラミック部分が破損、一本丸ごと交換する必要があったのです。

This time, we had to complete a special mission to replace a damaged column post that supports the acceleration unit.

予備のカラムポストの絶縁チェック中。

学位授与式が行われました！ Congrats!

こんにちは！

Hello, this is MALT.

近年、東京大学の留学生の数は増加の一途をたどり、9月に卒業する学生も珍しくありません。

In recent years, the number of international students at the University of Tokyo has continued to increase, and it is not unusual for students to graduate in September.

というわけで、先週の木曜日、原子力国際専攻の秋季学位授与式が行われました。

Autumn Graduate Commencement of NEM was held last Thursday.

学位記を授与する者

He looks more nervous than the graduates.

松崎研究室からも2人のドクターが誕生しました。

Two students from Matsuzaki laboratory received a doctoral degree.

久しぶりのMALT見学ツアー MALT tour! in a long time

新型コロナウイルスの蔓延以降、一般の見学会は行われていなかったのですが、
東大の活動制限指針レベルAになったということで、久しぶりに高校生が見学に来てくれました。
MALT tour was held last month.
This is the first time since March 2020 before COVID-19 pandemic

加速器の見学＋松崎教授による講義＋化学処理体験

来てくれたのは文京区にある都立高校の一年生のみなさんでした。
タンデム加速器の原理から応用までしっかりと講義で学んでもらい、みんなヘロヘロになっていました。
The contents of this tour included a visit to the tandem accelerator, a lecture by Prof. Matsuzaki, and a chemical processing experience, which may have been a little difficult for high school students.
