AMSシンポジウムでは学生発表賞があり、松崎研究室の王くんが見事ポスター発表賞を受賞しました！

また、初日のセッション終了後に、山形大学医学部東日本重粒子センターの見学会も行われ、みんなで参加してきました。写真を載せておきます。

東日本重粒子センターは回転ガントリーを備えており、複数の角度から重粒子線治療を行うことができるそうです。

East Japan Heavy Ion Center has a rotating gantry to to reduce unnecessary radiation exposure to patients.

Rotating gantry treatment began this year.

今のところ、比較的簡単で実績のある前立腺がんの治療が多いそうですが、今後は他の部位の治療も増やしていきたいとのこと。

Patients who need heavy ion therapy come not only from Yamagata Prefecture but also from the entire Tohoku region.
