質量分析学会同位体比部会2014 Isotope Ratio Group Meeting

筑波山で同位体比部会が行われました。

MALTからは９人が参加しました。総力戦です。

The Mass Spectrometry Society of Japan, Isotope Ratio Group Meeting was held in Tsukubasan mountain.
9 MALT members participated.

ステキな紅葉の筑波山。

 会場の宿にあったステキなロビー。

プレゼミではさっそくミスターMALTが登場。

学生たちは就寝前に発表の最終打ち合わせを行っていました。

Students had the final meeting for their presentations before they went to bed.

三宅くんお誕生日会 Happy Birthday Party!

こんにちは、ミスターです。

Hello, this is MALT.

本日、三宅くんが誕生日を迎えたことがエンジェルくんからリークされました。

そこで急遽三宅くんを祝う会を開催。

 Angel-kun obtained information that today is Miyake-kun's birthday, so we held the birthday party.

根津で一番美味しいロールケーキに舌鼓。

We ate the most delicious roll cake in Nedu.

今年の抱負は「ちゃんと研究すること」だそうです。

His ambitions for this year is "work hard".

傷だらけのマシンタイム Scarred Operation

　お久しぶりです、ミスターです。

 Long time no see! This is MALT.

気持ちのいい秋晴れ！（＋ほのかなギンナン臭）

A fine autumn day! (with slight smell of ginkgo nuts.)

　しかし、ご存知のようにGVMがアレだったりチェーンのモーターがソレだったりと、加速器的には気持ちのよろしくない状況です。

 But, the accelerator, as you know, is not fine very much with some troubles.


　今のところ片肺飛行で騙しダマシ運転を続けているところです。　　
　そんな中、ヨウ素の測定も加速器のゴキゲンを伺いつつ行われました。

 We are now in operation with only one chain.
 Iodine-129 was measured while paying court to the accelerator.

　トラブル続きですが早く加速器を万全の状態にして、以前のようにじっくりブログを書く仕事に戻りたいです。

MALT人気急上昇？ MALT Gains in Popularity

　ここ一週間くらいMALTには多くの人がやってきています。
（まぁほとんどが新設している放射線管理室に関する業者の人ですが。。。）

Many people visited MALT recently.

上坂研の藤原さんと打ち合わせ。彼の学生人気にあやかりたいものです。

Fujiwara-san who belongs to Uesaka's laboratory.

山形武靖と日大スチューデンツ。カソード交換のお手伝いありがとうございました。

末木研の本多さん。謎の大きなものを梱包中。

おさかなくわえた松中さん。現在MALT中に磯のオイニーが漂ってます。

　さて、これからユーザーガイダンスです。後期も研究がんばりましょう。
 We will hold the user guidance from now.
 Let's do our best at study also in the second half of the year!

CAMS新設に向けて Toward New C-AMS Installation

　博物館でのCAMS新設に向けた打ち合わせを行いました。

　本丸とも言える展示エリアに足を踏み入れるのは今回が初めてです。

　薄暗くて居心地が良かったです。

 We had a meeting toward installing a new C-AMS of Laboratory of Radiocarbon Dating.

 Exhibition area of University Museum is a little dark and comfortable.

建設予定地。

A site for a new accelerator.

　展示室の中にガラス張りで設置されるので一般の方でも自由に見学することができるようになります。

　見る側としては面白い限りですが、研究する側にとっては気が抜けません。気軽にお尻もかけなくなります。

 Because the accelerator is installed in glassed-in room in exhibition room, the public will be able to visit freely.
 It is like living in a fishbowl.

　夜になると天気も良くなりMALT屋上からでも月食を確認することができました。
 

　月食と撮影しようと奮闘する人たち。三日月じゃないよ、月食だよ。

湿原探索隊 Wetlands Expeditions

２日目は朝食前に車山の肩まで登りました。
The second day, we climbed Mt. Kurumayama before breakfast.

遠くに槍ヶ岳が見えるときのポーズ。そんな薄着で、山を舐めるな！

We could see Mt. Yarigatake.

霧ヶ峰の名に負けない霧が出てきたので早々に退散。

It got foggy as the name "Kirigamine" suggested.

朝食後にみんなで八島ヶ原湿原を探索しました。
After breakfast, we all explored the Yashimagahara wetlands.

三宅隊長を先頭に木道を突き進みました。

Miyake-kun has a strong physique like a bear.

山小屋の夜 Night at a Hut

山の夜は深い。

そしてまだ９月中旬というのに霧ヶ峰の夜はものすごく寒い。

Mountain deep night.
The night at Kirigamine is very cold even in the middle of September.


そんな中、21時に消灯ということだったので、大慌てで飲み始めました。

As light-out time was 9pm, we started to drink in a hurry.

薪ストーブで暖を取りながら。

Drinking while keeping ourselves warm with a wood stove. 

グランドピアノがあったので急遽演奏会。

There is a grand piano. A instant concert was held. 

結局消灯時間を過ぎてもなお、話が絶えることはありませんでした。 

At last, we continued talks until midnight even though it was long past light-out time.
