　ヨウ素のマシンタイムが始まって、共同利用者のみなさんが続々と測定に訪れています。

 As machine time of iodine-129 started, collaborating users visited MALT one after another.

加藤さん来訪 Kato-san visited MALT

　こんにちは、ミスターです。

 Hello, this is MALT.

　以前MALTに勤めていて、現在は山形大学のAMSセンター主任の加藤さんがMALTに来てくれました。

 Kato-san visited MALT on Monday.

 His former place of work is MALT, and he presently works at "Analysis of mass of Yamagata University high sensitivity accelerator center".

昔話に花を咲かせております。

They talked about the good old days.

　多くのスタッフ・ユーザーに支えられ、来年MALTは共同利用開始20周年を迎えます。

　20周年に向けて、イオンだけでなく感謝の気持ちも加速しておるわけです。

 As a result of staffs' effort and users' support, MALT will pass its 20th anniversary next year.

Cleanliness is next to godliness.

　来るヨウ素のマシンタイムに向けてサンプル処理の準備をしています。
 For the next machine time of iodine129, we prepared for the sample processing.

コンタミを出来るだけ防ぐために室内の大掃除から。

We started from the housecleaning to prevent contamination.

実験に使う道具を洗っています。

They washed experiment tools.

Final Basic Project

　基礎プロジェクトが本年度で一区切りしました。

　長らくプロジェクトリーダーをしていただいた伊藤さん、ありがとうございました。

 Basic project was finished.

　同時に、エンジェルくんのサンゴのサンプルも分析しました。

 At the same time, we analyzed angel's coral sample with PIXE.

結果的に制御室大賑わい。

As a result, there were throngs in the control room.

TeNQ Opens Today!

　本日より、後楽園の黄色いビル６階に宇宙ミュージアム「TeNQ（テンキュー）」がオープンします。

 Space museum "TeNQ" opens at Korakuen today.

トイレも宇宙仕様。

　MALTも所属している東京大学総合研究博物館が協力しています。

　一足早く内覧会に行かせていただきました。宇宙のあれこれが楽しく学べるみたいです。

　サイエンスゾーンでは、博物館の宮本先生の研究室が最新研究情報とともに展示されています。

　夏休みの自由研究なんかにピッタリということです。よろしくお願いします。

The 27th Research Meeting of Tandem Accelerator and Peripheral Technique Thereof

　こんにちは、ミスターです。

 Hello, this is MALT.

　京都大学宇治キャンパスで行われたタンデム研究会に参加してきました。

 We participated in "The 27th Research Meeting of Tandem Accelerator and Peripheral Technique Thereof which was held in Kyoto University Uji Campus.

　中野さんによるMALTの現状についてのプレゼンテーション。　

　車の話はしていないです。

 Nakano-san gave a presentation about the current status of MALT.
 Not about a car.

　伊藤さんの代わりに森田さんがポスター発表をしました。

MALTからは５人が参加しました。

 Motita-san gave a poster-presentation instead of Ito-san.

 5 members of MALT participated.

せっかくなので防災研の松四さんを訪ねましたが不在でした。残念。

We visited Matsushi-san but he was absent.

懇親会はキャンパス内で盛大に開かれました。

A big party was held in Uji Campus.

しこたま呑む人たち。約束通り載せました。

　この後、たまたま京都大学エネルギー理工学研究所に異動した門先生と合流しました。

　話に夢中になって写真を撮りそこねてしまった。

 Then, we met Kado-sensei occasionally and went to Kyoto night.

 I was so busy talking that I forget to take a photo.

夏の三四郎池 Sanshiro-ike Pond in summer

　こんにちは、ミスターです。

 Hello, this is MALT.

　今年の基礎プロジェクトも最後の班になりました。

　ありがとう三四郎池。

 The last group of basic project completed sampling at the Sanshiro-ike pond.

　今回もまた絶好のサンプリング日和でした。ありがとう三四郎池。

 It was also nice day for a sampling. Thanks, Sanshiro-ike!
